Eyes.

Eyes close on today,
Open up for a brighter tomorrow.
Screams in the dark,
Startle and surprise the shy little girl.

Lamp shade reflection shines on the pretty pink walls,
With what she sees as an ugly face in view.
Those big blue eyes waiting,
Waiting for the dark in the night to pass.

Countless bottles of pills popped,
Digested straight into her bodily functions.
Eyes flicker and loosely wander,
Unaware of the harsh reality.

Falling down the stairs with a thud,
She isn't who she used to be.
Straight to the kitchen she weeps,
Trying to bring up all the bad, let it all out.

A sudden slip, her head crashes,
On the cold tile slab.
Another shot in the dark,
Now awaits more torture.

Vision blurred, eyes now drowsy,
She reaches for her old friend.
Breaking the built up tension once more,
Creating a horror story title.

Hallowing cries wake the house,
Yet no one runs to her aid.
It won't stop,
She can't make it stop.

Why all the pain?
Why all the home remedies?
Why all the heartache?
For this one boy?

It's too late to save her,
It's too late to say goodbyes.

She's gone.
Goodnight, sweet dreams,
Little girl.
