My Scars Are My Reason

I wrote this for someone special
You know who you are
Thanks for leaving me with nothing
And all those beautiful scars

As a little girl I believed in such love
One emotion only one man can give.
But now I sit and wonder, Is it true?
With, or without it, Could I possibly live?

Fallen angel, Turning slowly to stone
Is what I'm beginning to be
I wanted to take myself out of this world after you
But the beautiful scars speak to me

Telling me "Don't use him as a reason"
"For only I am your reality"
"Don't tell yourself you're done
Or it's your own brutality"

I know I am not perfection
But for you, My inner strength tried to be
You grasped my heart and bled it dry
And used that against me.

But each day, I pick myself back up
Off of the ground you left me to die
In the beginning you were everything
And toward the end, the perfect lie.

You leave me one choice
That only I can make on my own
So I'll throw myself in the darkness,
And be one of the unknown

You'll see the blackness in my eyes
And hear the screeching in my heart
Those are some of the signs I'm alone
That you're the one who ripped me apart

The beautiful knife is calling my name,
Each slit runs deeper than the last
Forcing me to forget about your false love,
And to forget about my past

The blood runs down my arm,
Leaving me with nothing but pain
You love watching me in misery, don't you...
You love me going insane.

My tears only make you stronger
In my weak world of hate
I can't stand to love you any longer
But I finally see it's too late.

I'll leave and make your life easy
So you won't have to worry
I'll be in hell sooner than you know it
Just please kill me, hurry.

Goodbye is my final world
As you chose not to return
I'm out of your life forever now, I hope your happy;
At least I'm your last concern.
