What is it that makes me love you?

List #1: Why do I love you?
1. If I told of your misfortune,
Made a list of all the wrong,
Wrote down all of your problems,
The read would be eternally long.
2. The pages would be blotched,
From all the tears I've cried,
Because I'd have to add,
All the times to me you've lied.
3. The script would be shaky,
From all the memories I'd endure,
Reliving the pain you dealt,
All the times you were with her.
4. Maybe you'd hear my voice,
As you read the endless page,
Maybe you'd hear my hurt,
All the pain and all the rage.
5. Then you'd probably see erase marks,
Because I was doing as I do,
Covering your bad habits,
Still pretending you aren't you.
6. And maybe I'd add drawings,
Of that smile I have to love,
the smile that won me over,
Made me forgive all the above.
7. But once you read it all,
You'd commit your greatest sin,
You'd expect me to show the world,
Betray you with this pen.
8. The fact that you don't trust me,
You think your secrets I won't hide,
Is what hurts me the most,
Because I've always tried.
9. It's the one thing in my life,
I've been able to do right,
Yet you don't recognize it,
Instead you choose to fight.
10. So, the last thing that you read,
Would be the most important part,
You can open up to me,
But expect me to betray your heart.
