This is such a powerful poem. The emotional devastation from simple words spoken that only lead to hurt feelings and less of a person on both ends. One for the hurtful words and the other for because they never see the self worth. You have done an awesome job on this.

Sleep has alluded me one more time
The clock loudly tics away every hour
As I lay in the darkness thoughts cross my mind
And take control with their imminent power.

Wonderful poem..hate insonmia lol...but i know how you feel though gosh, and writing is great when one cant sleep huh?

One helluva way to put it, i suffer the same thing and it's even harder with heartache thrown in for good measure. Awesome poem keep it up.

Marcus used to suffer from terrible insomnia, nights were terrible cos i never got any sleep either so i can see where you're coming from with this piece.
I love how i can find a way to relate to most of your poems, the words seem closer that way =)

The purpose of the forum is a place for people to share their artwork, literary works, photography (digital or film), videos, music, collections, or hobbies. There are also various discussion boards on philosophy, randomness, and contests.
