Unreturned love

by Isis   Mar 20, 2007

Love, I never understood it,
Until I met you,
You were the one I wanted to be with,
But you never had a clue.

I'm not going to lie,
You're the greatest I know,
You're the most charming guy,
You simply make my heart grow.

But you never, ever returned my gaze,
You acted like you didn't care,
You never watched me in amaze,
You really got me in despair.

So I was picking up the bits,
Of my deeply broken heart,
You gave it some serious hits,
You totally tore it apart.

But then I saw you with her,
And they fell back to the floor,
I didn't remember who you were,
Cause now you broke them even more.

So I try to think of you as a friend,
But loving you is like my breath,
The moment that it will end,
It will simply be my cruel death.
