Shadows in waiting

Dark figure's cast off my back
Staring at me, eyes faded in black
Follows my every step
In their reach I am kept,

Choking my every breath
With their singed skin
Darkened by every evil grin
Met with a feeling of immense sin,

Falling into the sea of shadows
Thinking thoughts so deep and shallow
Far from anyone who may want to follow
I won't be found, this water shall swallow,

Sinking deeper with every thought
To the surface, I won't be brought
Seeing the bottom of this ocean in my head
This is not a dream, I won't land in my bed,

Demonic presence all around
This feeling is quite profound
A touch of a death, a kiss of blood
For a moment I swore it was love,

The feeling over takes every part of me
My essence is now far from free
Cornered, kept for all to see
Embarrassment is me,

Spread my blackened wings of hell
Show them, were beyond tell
Throw me into this destiny
I'll fly back up, do not mess with me,

Blood curtailing screams from my heart
My eyes piercing your mind
Black spilling off every limb
My shadow will not fail this time.
