A Palindrome

by DesolationRow   Mar 21, 2007

There were no words left to speak,
And I nearly fell right off my feet
But you were there to catch me one last time,
Before you sent me off to drown in my pain,
I turned around to look at you,
Smiling sweet and softly you waved me off,
You have let me leave your heart girl,
And I can never come back
I feel like a child leaving home,
Im free but Im alone

A fugitive in his own mind,
Time is always running by too fast,
Sure he stumbles every now and then,
Sometimes it seems as those hes stopped,
But its just a brief interruption,
A moment of untrue freedom,
From the life of fear he leads,
Its such a shame that he doesnt stop too speak,
So many people would like to ask,
If he could slow down for just one moment

To speak of love is so easy,
But to feel it seems so impossible,
You always seemed so black and white,
Knowing exactly what you wanted,
Youd probably say I was a palindrome,
Hoping I would change was useless,
No matter how you looked I was always the same,
But in my own words, my own opinion,
I was always more like a cloud,
