An Alley of Regret

by Suzie Q   Mar 21, 2007

Cold, numbing fear clutched her heart desperately. A dying sob clawed its way up her throat, released in a feeble whimper. Pain burned within her skin, eyes tarnished with hate and history. Hollow echoes of sad moans reverberate off of lonely walls, to create a symphony of meaningless eloquence. Lips of softest hue and touch, split with screams of torment. Eyes close in pain of night, the shadows slip and show the light. An empty carcass of no importance, a shattered soul deprived of heart.

And as an alley way is lit with softest dawn's first light, shadows die, and born is new grief of grotesque sorrow.
