Change is a cycle

by Alesia   Mar 21, 2007

The sun sets and rises
The world spins;days go past.
Summer falls to Autumn,
Autumn freezes to Winter,
Winter melts into spring.

Everything changes;
Whether for good or bad.
A flower must die to become beautiful again.
The caterpillar must sleep to become a butterfly

Change must be know to embrace it.
There is day. There is a night.
The sun, and the moon.

Going in circles;
Everything repeats itself.
History is the past, perhaps the future.
Life is given; life is lost.
yet,the earth keeps spinning.

    Oh. I like the concept and the piece itself as well. Considering its technical areas, there are a few grammatical errors that should be fixed without further ado.

    For instance:
    "For the good or the bad." ~ "Whether for good or bad"
    "Life is gave, and life is lost." ~ "Live is given; Life is lost." (vanished or gone will do.)

    By doing so, in my humblest opinion, you could augment this piece to a higher degree through the use of a consitent line meter or uniform syllable count. Other than that, I was quite pleased to have read such a delightful poem! Indeed, I believe Life is a constant change. =] Thank you for sharing as well as commenting on my poem. Regards, Debbie

  • I enjoyed this one, but it kinda seemed like something was missing not even sure what. The flow wasn't too bad, and the message was pretty good, I don't know. I thought it was pretty good though. Keep up the good work. 4/5
