Lie dead sweet roses, while the violets play

by HollywoodSmile   Mar 21, 2007

The roses are dead
the violets are, too
when all are dead,
what shall the angels do?

the roses lie dead
the violets do, too
when all are dead,
what do the zombies do

the roses were red
the violets were blue
the souls were happy,
the bodies were, too

roses are red
violets are blue
when the roses are dead,
the violets will finally be violet

now that the roses are gone
and the violets are violet
the blood lie red
and the violets are violent

the roses have been dead
the violets are now, too
as i write bleeding from the sorrow
i know i will be, too

This piece is fantastic. Though parts fail to make sense the overall piece is terrific. I hope many other people like this piece as much as I have. Definatly a 5/5 here and you have written yet another unique and creative piece that is filled with sorrow, devistation, and clear strong voice. A voice that really shows who you are.

This is not a comment on my poem, this is a response to the comment above.

thanks for the comment bekka, but the rest of that was just mean! seriously, "my sympathy, bekka" thats just plain mean.
