A dozen roses

by silhouette fairy   Mar 22, 2007

A dozen roses sit on the porch
seeing them as she walks up the drive
"who are they from," she asks herself
as she reaches the door
a boy stands up
her heart starts to race
as she stands beside her crush
he smiles at her and says
"i bought these roses just for you
but even they don't compare to your beauty."
she smiles and replies
"i would give you the stars
but none would shine as bright
as the twinkle in your eyes."
and together they whispered to each other
I am the one that stays awake
thinking of you
your face helps me to rest
you are my one and i love you."
smiling at each other
moving in closer
they sit on her porch
just talking to one another
