The End

It came slowly,
creeping up upon her.
so silently, she never heard.

it was the End,
It had finally come to take her.

for a time, she had been scared,
scared of what it would bring,
now she welcomed it,
wanted it to take her under
into the darkness
to shallow her whole.

she wanted no more of the world,
no more hurt or pain,
she smiled softly as the End engulfed her,
taking her under,
never to re-emerge again.
