Nightmare of Reality

by The Queen of Spades   Mar 22, 2007

Upon these steps of torture
I weep
Profusely, pathetically
For there is
Nothing more
I can do
My organs and
It's reactions
Have molded into
A thick, dismal gray matter
That oozes painfully
Out of my pores
My nightmares
Have become a reality
And all around
Swarms disease
Cries of agony
And the infestation of torment
Ebony walls around me
Create a demented eternal night
So silent, so still
My sobs echo

Ah, see this one has the angry tone. You speak of tortue, and in everyone's mind, that relates to pain. Nightmares as well give off a really dark aura. A much better effort in this poem. A few things I would change, but that's my opinion, if you like it the way it is, that's fine. Awesome job!

Damn I was just going to quote that line, well in the typical English way I shall simply say,

    "what she said".

    Very interesting,

Such a metaphorical method to describe such a topic. I expeccially enjoyed "the infestation of torment", due to the physical description given to a feeling.
