The world to you

I was the world to you,
ever since I came to this life,
ever since I took my first breath,
I was the world to you.
You gave me a smile, a hug
when I needed it most.
You were there to comfort me
at night when I was afraid,
and felt no where safe except in your arms.
That time you let me know that
I was the world to you.
You made me laugh those times
when I couldnâ??t find happiness in this world,
and you made me cry those times
when I wronged. But even then
you made me feel that
I was the world to you.
You were so loving, so compassionate that
I always felt the warmth in your presence.
You forever let me know that you loved me.

anything I wanted or ever needed.
You stood by my side those days and nights
when I was suffering from a terrible fever.
At that time, I saw in your eyes
the pain, the sadness, the sorrow
as you prayed that I be cured.
Thatâ??s when I was sure that
I was the world to you.
When I grew up you taught me
the right from the wrong.
You cared so much for my education.
You were so patient with me
that you stood by my side the times
when I was crying from frustration.
You told me that nothing
was worth my falling tears.
You helped me study and made me believe
that the world can be beautiful
if I wanted it to be
as long as I remembered one thing
I was the world to you.
You watched me grow up in front of your eyes
as you wished to hold every hour that passed.
You were afraid to let me out into the world
because you believed that I would be
your little girl for eternity.
You gave me your trust
and made me trust you.
Then you whispered in my ear that
I was the world to you.
Now itâ??s my turn to let you know that
You are the world to me.
