Summer Days and Decembers

by Courtney   Mar 22, 2007

Those days in warm sweet summer
With sun kissed skin, we were everything.
Hot days ended off with cool star filled nights
Running through fields chasing butterflies and fireflies.
Oh, how I cherished that warm sweet summer
But now I'm filled with bitter cold days in December.
Pulling my jacket on tight, trying not to feel the cold, wrapping my arms up around my knees, laying my head on the frosted window.
And there's still nothing fascinating about these bitter days in December.
So I'll just light up a cigarette and take a drag, let the smoke escape through my lips.
And all I can do is wait for those warm summer days to break this cold and break my mood.
