Beauty and the beast

Never before had he seen such beauty,
as she lay there before him cold and pale.
he got on his knees and started praying,
trying to prevent his soul from going to hell.

he clasped his warms hands around her white face,
and shivers went up and down his spine.
she lay there innocent and vulnerable,
as he thought "she will always be mine".

he gently picked her up from the ground,
and took her to his home amongst the hills.
but the feeling of guilt was to much for him,
and so he topped himself with pills.

so there they both led, eyelids shut,
beauty and the beast, a princess and some bloke.
both seemed as dead as each other,
then suddenly she awoke...
