Run for your life (collab)

by Jenni Marie   Mar 23, 2007

**Collab with Leanne**

Clouds rolled in thick
The rain began to pour
Yet a smile stayed fixed in place
But why, she wasn't sure

Walking in this unknown land
Overcome with fear
Realization hits her
No-one knows she's here

Searching for a shelter
Trying to catch her breath
Body soaked, chilled to the bone
Soon she will catch her death

Moving as fast as she can
She can hear something from behind
Her heart is beating double
In this place where she's confined

Eery moans in the distance
Petrified of what it may be
Hands pressed against her ears
Eyes closed so she cannot see

Stumbling over the ground
Goosebumps along her arms
Praying to be anywhere but here
To finally be safe from harm

Tripping over tree stumps
Face pressed in the ground
Won't someone come to rescue her?
Praying she will be found

Thunder begins to roar
As he slips in quietly behind
Is this really happening?
Is she going out of her mind?

Wincing, as she turns to look
Seeing the glistening of the knife
Heart beating faster once more
As she truly fears for her life

Trying to scream for help
As he brings his knife down
Burying her lifeless body
So that she is never found.

Again you girls have written an awesome piece.... dark, scary and a fear that many have.... it flows and rhymes well. Well done once again. It's a pleasure to have both of you in our group.
