Ode to the bullshit poems

by Kelsea   Mar 23, 2007

I know that I wrote like that once
All the same cliches
"oh my god I love him so!
So much he doesn't even know!"
Yeah, I know that I followed that trend
all those poems about the end
of me, of him, relationships
crashing down before my eyes
Bullshit poems that had no meaning
The kind of stuff every girl writes
Nowadays I'm not much better
at least I try, please give me that
But worst of all is reading other
bullshit poems about bullshit subjects
about how your parents don't understand
Or whatever.

Good Job. I agree with you, but some 'cliche' poems do come from the heart. A lotof people feel the same way about things. But, being unique is quite amazing.

Heh... I know what you mean... I myself write some pretty crappy poems about nothing. Usually I lose interest towards the middle of poems like this one, but I kinda liked the subject and the way you wrote it... sooo, well-done. =]

    Thank's for the comment.
    Happy writing-

Haha WHOO! So true! Great poem! It's funny how so many poems are all so hopless romantic type. I write alot myself :) lol I like the topic alot, and it portrays a good point. The name was also very interestingly clever. The flow was a bit rocky though. I sugest giving a copy of your poem to a friend, and have them read it out loud for the first time. Take notes as to where the stumble over words, or where they seem to rush the the sentances to keep the flow and rhythm the same. Happy writting!!
