Sometimes, in My Head

Sometimes, In My Head...

___

My head lays on his shoulder,
I whisper words I cannot say,
Cuddle up as it gets colder,
Don't want to go away

I touch his cheek so gently,
Look into amber eyes,
Stroke his hair, so lightly;
Don't want to say goodbye

I lean in, to stare deeper,
My hand upon his own;
He is my heart's own keeper,
Companion through unknown.

In just one week, I realized,
A longing felt for him;
My feelings were the big suprise,
My longing reached the brim.

I never thought I'd feel this way
About another friend
He is just so sweet and nice
I don't want this to end

In my head, sometimes, I think
Of things I'd love to do;
From holding hands, to giving winks
Those thoughts are just a few
