A tear in my eye, a kingdom in my mind

by Rustedwings   Mar 24, 2007

A tear in my eye and a hand on my chin
I look up at walls I feel confined in

Walk up to me with light in your eyes
Take me to love and wide open skies

Take my hand,I'll follow if only you'll lead
Take yours if I must, if that's what you need

We'll run to the castle I've built in my mind
Your heart with mine, our kingdom we'll find

To gold guilded hallways that glimmer with trust
High arching doorways that never will rust

For my queen a high throne of jewels and velvet
silver and gold and my love all around it

No luxury too much, no finery too little
All built with my love right here in the middle

We could go there,oh yes it could be grand
My courage falters I can't barely stand
A tear in my eye and my head in my hand
