Invisible

Have you ever felt invisible,
in a dream you can't awake?
That feeling you have of hopelessness,
like everything's too much to take?

My parents expect perfection,
my friends expect a smile.
Does no-one ever notice,
the truth behind my eyes?

I'm all you've ever wanted,
yet, no-one knows the truth.
I think I've lost control,
I'm scared myself I'll lose.

I'm drowning, drowning,
the surface I can't reach.
I open my mouth, the words won't come,
it seems that I can't speak.

I'll still feel so invisible,
inside a crowded room.
Someone, somewhere, notice me,
me by myself, I'll drown so soon.
