I sit here waiting

by Travis   Mar 24, 2007

I sit here waiting,
Waiting to come home.
I count down the days,
Until I see you again.
I wonder how long,
This will last.
I know I love you,
And I always will.
But I’m just not sure,
Will you love me,
Just as long?
Or will I end up lonely,
Like I know I will?
Maybe they were right,
Maybe I am good for,
Only hurting others.
That’s what I believe,
At least for now.
Until someone,
Proves them wrong.
And what I know is,
That someone, may be you.

Not the best of your poetry. But indeed a good poem. Keep trying. Why dont you use more.. significant words instead a few in your head? like. go through a thesaraus for similar words, then look in the dictionary to look up what it means. know what i mean?
