War

by Alex   Mar 25, 2007

Across the battlefield, walk death and despair, hand in hand.
Scars stretch so far across the land;
Terrible thoughts within the mind,
Hatred bred by the leaders of Mankind.

Here He comes, to lead them his way
They pray, 'Please Lord, just one more day?'
The pain and despair of their loss,
The life they knew fades away.

A terrible loss, forever to be told,
Every death, so bitter and cold.
Those unsung heroes,
Their lives, so wastefully sold.
