Mother Nature, Earth Goddess

by Alex   Mar 25, 2007

Mother Nature, Earth Goddess
Return to what you rightly possess.
To Mankind you entrusted your world,
And watched the destruction slowly unfurled.
Development and 'progress' has it tolls,
Visible scars and the melting poles.
Gas emissions, and the greenhouse effect,
this world, which we promised to protect.
As your lungs are slowly eaten
is this the end? Are you beaten?
Stewards of the Earth, we became
Corrupted by power, we kill and maim.
Many species lie dead in our wake,
you find it all so hard to take
From every tree thats cut, the ozone hole,
All deeply hurt your caring soul
o' Mother Nature, Earth Goddess
Return to what you rightly possess.
