Oh Life

by Lindsay   Mar 25, 2007

Oh, to be free...
To be a bird freed from its cage,
to soar on wings no longer clipped by a cruel master.

Oh, to be let go...
To no longer be a child,
to stumble out the door of your parents home, no longer afraid.

Oh, to be lost...
to travel the world,
to experience things one never even imagined could exist.

Oh, to be loved...
to hear those three sweet words,
to spend the rest of your life trying to figure out what they mean.

And Oh! To Live...
To be free and to be grown,
To have lost yourself and to have found love.

Oh, to die...
to finally find the end,
to have faith or no faith, unable or unwilling to escape your fate.

I like how this covered four important things. Freedom, Love, Life, and Death.
That was very creative. I think the poem needs a different format, and some words need to be capitalized. Make sure that the beginning of sentences the word is capitalized.
I found proper punctiation in this, so that is good.
This didn't impact me like most poetry does, but it was still good.
