The Two Of Us

The day we first met,
There was something we didn't get.
That there were two people who were going to be.
And that they were you and me.
We talked and talked but never knew,
That it would just be me and you.
All our friends say that its wrong.
And that it was all along.
But we didn't care, they couldn't change it,
The feelings we had, we had to admit.
Things never changed, no matter what was said.
We thought of each other all the time, from morning until bed.
Things are great now, just as they should.
