The Page That Killed Her

by Kirsten   Mar 26, 2007

There was a girl who loved to smile
this girl had also loved a book
this book was very dear to her
but things had changed
once she opened the book
but she didn't know, and nor did we

she read the book all the time
and when she finished
she started all over again
her friends began to worry
but soon all had left
her grades had slipped
shes was leaving the world behind

she was sitting under a tree
a tree which had no meaning
two old friends had come walking by
they waved and smiled when walking past
but not for her
she smiled anyways and read another page
but she didn't know

she was walking the streets
the streets that had no meaning
and cameras flashed and blinded
too many cameras taking still pictures
but not for her
she smiled anyways and read another page
but she didn't know

she was sitting on her bathroom floor
the floor that had no meaning
a razor shined upon her
wanting to be used
but not by her
she smiled anyways and read another page
but she didn't know

the poor girl died
all alone
the funeral was sad
but no one cried
she watched from above
was she missed?
the people whispered
they said she was pretty
too young to die
but that whole time
the poor girl wondered
what was so pretty about her

her possesions were went through
all though there weren't many
they found the book, which she held dear
and they wondered what she also didn't know

there was a girl who loved to smile
this girl had also loved a book
this book was very dear to her
but things had changed
once she opened the book
we still do wonder
but now she knows
which page had killed her
