The emptiness that dwells within

In all these while all unspoken
There was a smile, curved yet broken
A smile that missed a certain touch
Like deserts denying one's throat's parched

I felt as if I lost a friend
Somebody who could understand
Silly me had to throw away
All that we had in just one day

I held back my pen from paper
So wanting not to write no more
My words like chaotic kilter

Here I die a quiet decay
