Anomalous

by Idiosyncratic   Mar 26, 2007

A lapse into silence
A peaceful allure
A grasp at indifference
A powerful end

I'm sorry I can write
I'm sorry I can't sing
I'm sorry for my written dreams
For they don't mean a thing

When hopes are put to music
They gain a certain hymn
But when written, hopes consist
Of somberness, quite grim

My words are choking
I cannot breathe
I want to sing them
In lust and in grief

I wish I had a memory
That lasted eternity
That ended when all ended
That saw what we can't see

I hope I die in presence
Of the beauty found within
I hope that I don't find it
For that would be a sin

I wish to sing in silence
Between the pouring rain
Gasping calmly in suspense
But never from the pain

These two stanzas are so powerful, and are my favorite out of the entire poem. The word choice brillant, and the show of emtion is excellent.please keep up the good work.

That was a good poem. With the part

I'm sorry for my written dreams
For they don't mean a thing

Everything you write means something so dont let anyone tell you otherwise :)
