Do you really know her,
this girl living in your house,
your daughter
your blood?
Do you know anything about her?
No.
She calls you daddy,
lives under your roof,
and shes seventeen years old...
thats all you know.
you've seen her art
and never looked
heard her poetry
and never listened.
you don't know her favorite color
her dreams
her fears
her crush.
you don't know anything about her.
Before its to late
and she has grown up
and moved away,
get to known this girl,
as more than just a girl.
get to know your daughter.
