You're the one and by the way I love you...

by Espoirfailed   Mar 26, 2007

I draw breath and come for air,
Until I bury myself back under
And put the brick back on my head,
The brick you gave to me
Disguised as a drunken message,
Or at least a forgotten one.

But who am I to criticise,
The ambiguity is my only certainty,
And I'm a hypocrite and I know it,
But don't you forget it.

But let's not regret it,
Not a single minute,
Because let's be frank
There wasn't many,
And look what my Dad has shown can happen.

Trying not to waste,
Lingering on a taste,
And I've forgotten who I wrote this for,
Is it you or the one before?
And look what I've become,
Everything I always hated,
Look what I've become,
I'm lonely but so much more underrated.

I'm so lost
This is understated.

I LOVED this poem. Reminded me a lot of a me a few years back, which is good because a lot of people can relate to this and that is what readers want to read - something that they relate to or the poem that they are reading is not so easily understood. Great jod, =]
