Two Souls

by Joe   Mar 27, 2007

Two souls are born incomplete.
They start life's journey yearning to be complete.
Heartbreak after heartbreak begins to take its toll.
They begin to think they just might live alone.

Relationships come and relationships go.
Some last for months, some last for a year.
They can't seem to give up and just let go.
Something tells them they'll find that someone.

Then the day came which was unexpected.
The day their searching came to an end.
She was a goddess molded from the greatest sunset.
He was an average man with a heart of gold.

As they glanced into each other's eyes,
they believed for an instance they became one.
For an instant two shattered hearts,
no longer laid in pieces.

They take the chance to becoming one.
Months go by and their love continues to grow.
They both believed they found the one.
The one that would bring their search to an end.

Every passing day becomes better than the last.
They realize their relationship will always last.
They know that day will come when they get to say, "I do Jess, I do Joey, forever and for always will."
