Where I Belong

I'm hurting,
But I'm confused as to why.
Is it because I'm losing my man,
Or because part of my heart's gone to another guy?
We've only been going out
For a month or two,
But I thought that
What we had was true.
But if I feel this way
Why did I fall for someone else?
Was I perhaps mistaken
As to how I felt?
How can I base my feelings
On such a short period of time?
Were they feelings of my heart
Or was it all in my mind?
Maybe it's time
To move on,
To accept the fact
That what we had is gone.
Maybe there's a chance
We can still be friends.
Our relationship doesn't have to
Come to a complete end.
Whatever the outcome,
I will stay strong.
Someday I'll find the place
Where I belong.
