The Boy With the Weight of the World

by LostLikeTearsInRain   Mar 28, 2007

My head begins to throb
With cold, hard anticipation
The likes of which
There is no reasonable explanation

As if some alien language
From a far away nation
All of what we were
Seems to be lost in translation

Seasons fly before my very eyes
So I simply shut them with a loss of hope
The girl I love has forgotten of my existence
And I don't seem to be strong enough to cope

The guy's she's with
Well...they come and go
I can only watch form afar
As my harsh winds continue to blow

My body is tossed against the pavement
But I refuse to stay down
Disappointment is a regular day-to-day chore
Yet I continue to greet it with a stubborn frown

I've had to file away memories of her
In thousands of different folders
Yet the world keeps pressing down
On my already bruised shoulders
