It never did occur to me
About how much people care
Years have gone by thinking that
Nobody knew i was there
When i smile its as if no one can see
So i don't try and just stay unhappy
The way I've been living and crying at night
When i was a child that was my only fright
Wishing that people would notice and love me
For who i am, not what i can't be
So many people out there do in fact care
And they finally are caring about me
Living depressed was my only mistake
Days gone by that were to much to take
But being able to finally realize how much people care
Makes life seem a lot more fair.
