I Want

I want to be a good mom
I want a good heart
I want to be able to finish
Everything I start

I want to feel good
And stop feeling pain
I want time to sit down
And listen to the rain

I want to be a good girlfriend
I want to show love
I was to sit down with my son
And watch him put on a glove

I want time for myself
Instead of everyone
I want to be able to trust myself
To be alone with a gun

I just want to say I have
At least one great accomplishment
And to know that some angels
I have been sent

They've helped me with my wants
All along the way
But I just turned them down
Come around again someday

I couldn't handle life
Nor could I handle death
So I'll want now
Until my last breath
