Sadly There Is No "After"

Our love was no fairy tale
It had no happy ending
Instead, our love ended with a broken promise
One that is yet to receive mending

I am certainly no Prince Charming
But you were always a princess in my eyes
But now it seems as though
Heart ache is at one of its all time highs

While happiness remains at its all time low
There doesn't seem to be any hope
For a fairy god mother to come to my rescue
So I just continue to sulk and mope

At this point it seems that
Not even a miracle could save me
I've lost contact with reality
And you are yet to acknowledge my plea

In my fairy tale
There is no "happily ever after"
Because, in my fairy tale,
Sadly, there is no "after"
