Bearer of Light

Lucifer
Bearer of Light
Illuminating
The depth of our night

Mix in
A Soupcon of Satan
A Dash of Devil
A Pinch of Pan
And voila!
The personification of evil

He is the dark side
Of the human soul
The other half
Which makes us whole

No trickster He
Showing us the darkness
Within our own hearts
Weâ??d rather not see

The dictator
The terrorist
The jingoist
The rapist
The murderer
The xenophobe
The opportunist
The warmonger

He is the ebon side
We seek to keep
Shadowed
But cannot hide

And if we try
To annihilate Him -
That which we call
The "Other",
That which we fear within ourselves
We become Him

And so the circle dance
Of good and evil
Continues

We are He
