The Day You Shed a Tear

by KaKaSHi   Mar 29, 2007

When Hurricanes and Sand Storms Invade the Skies
and over masses of corpses linger hordes of Flies
and shattering earthquakes tear the World Apart
and all men fall with a broken heart

When Kings of men, Lords of seas,
Sultans of Deserts drop on their knees

When even Priests and Saints come to Sin
and on the devil's face spreads an evil grin

When disease plagues all man-kind
and all planets and stars are aligned

When the Grim Himself cowers in fear
and the holes of hell are ever so clear
and when heavenly angels are no where near
such is the day you shed a tear

This was brilliant. The rhyme was well threaded into this piece and the use of imagery and metaphores in this poem were amazing. The only suggestion I have is if you use the appropriate punctuation marks within your stanzas, the poem will read much more smoothly. But on a whole, very well done :).

This is very good-If I din't know how it feels to be heartless and know people who are heartless/emotionaless...I would think it unrealistic. But this is very good:>

Not so captivating to me but the chosen words somehow impressed me so as the imagination...it bring one eerie scenario in my head, a great picture of catastrophe.. great job very soothable for a person who is experiencing vivid depression and sadness.
