Their memories and soul.

by Teria   Mar 29, 2007

I wonder how they felt,
what came to their mind.
I wonder who they were,
if they even had time to find.

I wonder why God took them.
And, where they are today.
I wonder what their life was like,
what they still had left to say.

I wonder what their dreams were.
What they wanted to be.
I wonder if they were in love.
And, if they knew their destiny.

I wonder what they did
just the night before.
I wonder how many heartbreaks.
Who they really were.

I wonder if they felt any
anger, rage, or pain.
I wonder if they're crying,
if they're pouring down the rain.

I wonder what they would say
if they had just one chance.
I wonder what life would look like,
with just one last glance.

My wondering should carry on,
just like their memories and soul.
My heart should still be broken,
for they finished life not whole.

I like how you wrote a poem based on something *real*. I mean, don't get me wrong, poems about relationships, love, etc *are* real, but they're constantly done, over and over again.

You took something new, something right before your eyes (in one sense or another, depending on if you were actually there, or if you just heard about this on the news, etc) and you wrote about it. And that, I find very admirable.

This poem had a powerful feeling and you, I think did a very good deed to those loved ones. You created something that will always be around to share for those who want strength. I think you have done a great thing. Thank-you. I also liked how you made the poem blend and easy to read. It made for a masterpiece that really should be read by others as well. Great job!
