Memories Of An Old Love

by Brittany   Mar 29, 2007

The sun rises,
Something sparkles in the sand,
It's so beautiful,
The memory in my hand.

The sun sets,
The stars light the way,
They're so beautiful,
The words you'll never say.

I watch the water sparkle,
Dancing wave by wave,
Remembering my heart,
The one I couldn't save.

I skip rocks into the lake,
Watching as they sink,
Remembering when I fell,
Because of the missing link.

The summer was so bright,
When we thought we were in love,
Those days are gone,
Yeah I've had enough.

Spring has rolled around,
A new flower grows for me,
The breeze gently rocking our love,
Swaying like the trees.

These new sights are wonderous,
When the old were just okay,
Sure I loved you back then,
But that's not who you are today.
