Useless Sin

by Stace   Mar 30, 2007

Nothing's good that's been thrown away,
Don't you remember? You said you wouldn't stay.
Change your mind, lose your chance,
'Cause there's not always one more dance.

You say you were wrong, that you want, that you need me,
But all I know's that you want a chance to bleed me.
A parasite lives, a parasite dies,
I want no more of your pain and your lies.

I don't want to hear your well-rehearsed lines,
It's all over, can't you see the signs?
You said yourself nothing good would last,
So let's just leave our mistakes in the past.

I want a little peace, I want a little time,
I want to live, without reason or rhyme.
Say I'm caught up in my own little sphere,
But I don't want to remember the times when you were near.

I raised my eyebrows watching you use me,
But I won't stand helpless while you abuse me.
My heart's not a toy, a marionette with strings,
My idea of love leads to exchange of rings.

I loved you then, I hate you now,
You sound so stupid asking how.
You want an answer? I'll give you it then:
Your shameless ignorance, your useless sin.
