What love can do

by isabel   Mar 30, 2007

Lies, like shadows, darkness mixed up with light
Begging for amnesia, my darkened, tortured soul
Sees that, in this world, there can't be something right
While sadness still smiles, so painful and cold

Feeling so confuse, that's what love can do
Falling in disgrace, buried in a lie
Can this be only because of you?
I feel the so called love, that money can't buy

If love is so merciful as we say it should be
If people only get exactly what they deserve
Then, why in earth would this happen to me?
In depression and misery, only love I serve

This awful existance, it is only mine
I cry, but in vain, because no one can hear
While you smile, contemplating your own shine
We were never so distant and yet, so near
