The Dance of Dreams

by Domino0792   Mar 31, 2007

They dance the night away,
If only they could just stay.
She'll dream of this night,
He'll think of this very sight.

She steps to the left as he bows,
He smirks when he hears the, wows.
She rests her hand on his shoulder,
As the night begins getting colder.

They move as one across the floor,
People stare as if this is against the law.
They seem to be gliding on thin air,
Not acknowledging the plentiful stares.

And although the night is young,
And the final song is not yet sung.
They must part,
Apologizing to their forever aching heart.

I enjoyed the sad fairytale type setting. Sort of like Cinderella. Anyway, I liked how it all flowed together and how each word fit perfectly with another. Keep up the good work!
