Eyes as Blue as Hell

by Israfel   Mar 31, 2007

Let the spirits from the shadows
Come forth to thee
May the ashes and the sorrow
Rain upon me!

An angel born of hell
With wings of glistening night
With a rusted, broken halo
Drifting further from the light

This mind, it seems distorted
I wish not to embrace this pain
A panic-stricken paranoia
I can not bear the shame

I know that they can see me
See the anger and the scars
I took a gamble and I lost
For you knew how to play the card

Why cant I remember
What they have said to me?
I hear the voices calling
What do you want with me?

I wish to end this more than ever
I know happiness must exist
My thoughts run slow, my body quivers
Hell never tortured me quite like this

I'm fighting against the cold
That pulls me farther and farther away
And I whisper, "You cant leave me,
You're supposed to show me Heaven someday."
They say that shadowed eyes lie
I'm starting to see its true
But believe me when I say
I never wanted to hurt you

You may think that I'm an angel
But I have long since fell
Beware of my ebony wings
And eyes as blue as hell
