Covered lies, unseen by naked eyes
Footprints trample the new fallen snow
All the pain, hidden by more lies

The pain, you can plainly realize
But no one's supposed to know
Covered lies, unseen by naked eyes

Slipped away, as she passes and dies
Laying on the ground, upon her, you bestow
All the pain, hidden by more lies

Solemn tears fall from reddened eyes
Blood mixed with the lace-white snow
Covered lies, unseen by naked eyes

Hiding in the depths of Death's despise
Where no one has yet to go
All the pain, hidden by more lies

Snow patrol, searching from the skies
All because she didn't say no
Covered lies, unseen by naked eyes
All the pain, hidden by more lies

A Villanelle is a nineteen-line poem consisting of a very specific rhyming scheme:
aba aba aba aba aba abaa.

The first and the third lines in the first stanza are repeated in alternating order throughout the poem, and appear together in the last couplet (last two lines).
