Long night of Caring

You've looked at the picture
for days and nights together
you were both holding hands
she promised you would be forever,

You were worried for long nights
getting no call or sign
looking back at the picture
you see those pretty blue eyes shine,

You called but no one was there
crying all night it was not fair
not know how to show
that you were still there to care,

The next day you cried
to only find out why
she had not called
but only died,

This shot you down
from a smile to a frown
of many tears of caring
at that picture you kept staring,

You had friends there
that you did not want or need
because nothing was to heal
those moments once shared,

Nothing was to fill
that deep whole in your heart
because now you two
are only father apart.
