Phases of Your Face

I hear laughter on the other side,
As I smile a wistful smile.
How do you look while laughing?

You playfully make fun of me,
As I pretend to get angry.
Do you smile when you play around?

"Okay" you say with anger,
As I try to make you feel better.
Do you frown when you are upset?

You say "I love you,"
As I reply, "I love you, too."
How do you look when you say that?

I yearn to see your face,
Through all its different phases.
I wish we were together,
Able to see each other forever.
