Tear's of the War

by Crystal Gaze   Apr 1, 2007

Soldiers die
Mothers cry
Forts are made
So are graves
Life is gone but thoughts remain
Love ones wait until that day
This day brings undieing faith it also bring grace
Sadness as well
The siren sounds
soldiers beat and murdered on this ground
Blood shed
Death and shadows overwhelm
Hell has come its all around
So is the stench of blood
I hear gun shots blows from canons
Have i imagined them
No Ive been shot
My heart is so cold it wont be long now
Remember me and the other soldiers that died
Always remember we paid are lives for the freedom you have today and the freedom for years to come
We hoped we have earned your respect if not your love
Love, peace and harmony is not are life.
Respecting,Hoping,and fearing is our life
We are soldiers
I am a soldier and here i lie dead....

I wrote this poem for my friend to hand in, it has the same guidelines as My remembrance day poems.

Great poem... my fiance is a soldier in the army so it was very relatable to me, and it's very sad as well... but more then that's it's just a very good tribute to any soldiers, past and present. Very nice work!
