Hold This Winter

by Unrequited   Apr 1, 2007

Are we mirrors of ourselves?
create this image
and curse the past that scarred you.

take this picture of my heart.
silent depths filter
into the graves of our tears.

preach your soul to another
i cannot hear you-
say goodnight to all we had.

and we are never broken.
i see through your eyes
where tragic sunshine remains.

send me frozen promises.
hold this winter true
and we are captured in fire.

passing rage and icy smiles;
we greet blue mornings
with sorrow in rain showers.

and still, we hold on to life.
we feel the silence,
and yet, we cannot let go.

Wow wow wow - i really enjoyed your descriptions and language you have used. The only thing i noticed was that it sounded disjointed in some parts, maybe the stanzas could flow more evenly into each other. Nice work :)
